Uju Obi is an award-winning Artist and Designer. Uju creates bespoke art for exceptional spaces.
Described as “ethereal” and “magical,” her work has been displayed at the V&A UK and at Nesta UK.
Uju works with private clients, interior designers and architects to create spaces that captivate.
Uju’s work is about Light: transparencies, reflections and refractions. With a background in textiles, her work is inspired by ideas such as applique, beading and pattern design.
Continuously experimenting with the versatility of glass; techniques used vary from fusing, resin lamination, verre eglomise, sandblasting and/or water-jet cutting.

With a background in textiles, largely self-taught, in 2006 Uju was awarded Winner of the Inspired by…Fashion and Textiles Prize at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London UK.
In 2007, Uju was selected as a Finalist - Canada and Europe Region of the Commonwealth Foundation’s Arts and Craft Award.
In 2013, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) put out a call for art which reflects its mission to encourage innovation in the UK. Uju travelled to Germany to work with glass. Her work was selected for an exhibition at NESTA in the winter of 2013.
In 2017, Uju was awarded Emerging Creative (Art & Design) 2017-2018 at The Hospital Club, London for her work with glass.
